** V.01 Demo located on first post on page 2! ** ** V.01 Demo located on first post on page 2! ** Hi, I am currently working on a modification where the user will be able to run a chatroom that works with IPB! Although, the SDK will be needed for this integration. The chatroom will log your member name into the chat. Guests will be redirected to a login or register page. More news about it probably tonight. Right now I will see if this is possible for me without an SDK. This should be a finished product and up for download within 3-5 days! The first version of it will be using javascript refreshes. Then, after I finish that I will start upgrading it to use a mysql database instead.

At first I will make it simple. Bottom will be where you can enter your message, middle will be where your messages appear, and the left and right column would be the user's that are in the chatroom. Ofcoarse, these users are the ones that registered on your forums. You can't chat if you are a guest. Pretty simple for now. Once I get the simple php/javascript v.05 done, then I will move onto a more complex one that will require a database, store emoticons, store all messages, have an admin cp, etc.

you should make it an irc chat room. so we can use the irc chat commands like kick,ban,kill,ect.

I will definetely put those commands in! Good idea! But tomorrow or the day after, I will first release the most basic chat with IPB integration, then I will work on commands. Can you please list all the commands there are so I can take note of them? Tell me what all of the do. What would be the difference between kick and kill? Sorry, I haven't used IRC in ages.

kick just kicks them outta the chat room. KILL kills the chat so they have to reboot it. also a list of commands just google IRC Commands and you will find them all.

I recently found a fantastic chat that is fast and integrates perfectly with our forum, it even recognizes forum users! We have it installed about two weeks now.

Scyth, this is just a start to see how well it recognizes the users. Eventually I will move it on to use a mysql database instead of javascript.
