Hey,
Does a mod like this exist or can someone have a go at making it: something that allows my members to create a forum on my board & controll it, they can change the forum name, create sub-forums, set moderators etc.. i want something like this for my gaming site, so a member can create a Sub-forum and have complete controll over it for there clan. Edit: just to make it clear, i dont want anything like multiforums(sebflipper) as that is illegal for ipb2 unless i have a license for evey forum. I just want somethign that allows members to create & controll there own subforum on my board. This post has been edited by scrawford: Jul 29 2005, 06:15 AM |

You can always just give your clan members admin... Is it a cs clan? Just curious.

Could install the Special Administration and let all users have access to the forum manager. However the mods a bit buggy, Should really wait till 2.1 (not long away) and use the built in special administration.

theres a usergroup mod, but it only give the option to create a "forum" and member can join the forum, but theres no post options.
when it comes down to it, its just a list over the people in the clan/usergroup. -------------------- Webmaster/Skinner - http://invisioneers.com

If you've got an ipb license (which is still in date) I recommend just waiting for ipb 2.1 which has "adminstration restrictions" which allows you to let users have access to the admincp, but you can set what features in the admincp to use, in your case you would only allow them to change the forum options.
If your license is outdated i'd recommend trying d2- special administration which basically does the same thing. Some people have said there are bugs in this mod but it still works for alot of other people, Try it on a test board and see if it works, If it works then install it on your main board. http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/3967 There's also a modification that lets members change there own name here: http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/3830 -------------------- ![]() 4 8 15 16 23 42 |

Yes, I have a valid license, but i dont want them to beable to change all forums, only there own sub-forum.
ive already got d2-special admin.. but its way to buggy to use for anything else other that trusted ppl. i want to allow them to change there forum name not there own name lol.. |
