What versions of php and SQL do you need to have in order to use your files or Dean's files?

At this momment I haven't figured that out. I found his files not to work on a php 4.4.2 with MySQL 5 system, but yet mine works.

To tell you the truth, which ever one works at the time. Altough so far mine has been universal and will work on any set up (so far) and yet Dean's seems to work on only a few. So if you decide to use Dean's installer, and it works, good, nothing needs to change, if not, than just put mine in and run the installer again as to overwrite the tables and continue installation.

is there a way to disable guests from using the shoutbox?

Yes there is Group Permission for Guests. Why is this mod under Broken Modifications in the Modifications Database? It works fine and isn't broken. I think it should be moved back in the right category where it belongs.

Yeah I know I was wondering the exact same thing Lordrea has asked.

Well in a way its borken because it dosen't work for several people, but since I released the fix, it shouldn't be in broken mod place.

As for helping you with your site, what ya need. I'm kind of not able to get in since you have it offline

i edited all the files ran the install but it doesnt work

Well my forum is offline for a purpose and that purpose is because I upgraded to IPB 2.1.5 and need to do some file edits for mods that are installed on my forum and when I try to click Web FTP which is the mod D21-FTP 1.0 Mod by Dean.

I get the following error below:



I have done all of the edits and run the installer again and again and again and it still doesn't work. I am using IPB 2.1.5.

I am not sure what is wrong. I have posted this in the support topic and one has helped me out yet. I am hoping that you or someone else can help me solve this problem.

i hear about bad programming of D2-Shoutbox 4.2 which can allow people with knowledges to hack the forums

Does this affect and the D21 Shoutbox 1.1 i use in my forums????

I hate to say it, but I don't see how a shoutbox can allow someone to hack into a bored because all the SB does is post a comment (almost like a guest book) but displays it publically and continues to take in these comments and display them. the only other thing it displays is a link to the members profile.

So, disregard what you heard, because it's just rumors. I've been running this mod of Dean's for awhile now. Altough me and my team found a minor glitch in D2 (It allowed something that wasn't damaging, but was annoying. By typing a correct combination, someone could put like 5 of their posts as one, this is fixed in D21 thou) there are no security holes as long as you have the rest of your forum secure, like you should.
