I don't agree on the blood factor of wrestling. Blood is absolutely unnecessary.
Wrestling can be classified as a sport. A 'sport' is a physical activity governed by rules and restrictions. These are what makes an activity a 'sport'. Wrestling uses various rules and regulations that intensify the action, and make it more of a 'sport'. (Most of that was my own writing. Some was extracted from a short dictionary definition). I can safely assume that the people in this topic who consider wrestling a 'story', or an 'opera', haven't any idea why wrestling is planned. There is a fairly logical explanation.

Yes, but a sport also implies a contest, where there is going to be a winner and/or a loser. Not a scripted athletic performance. Wrestling is not a contest. They only pretend to win, and pretend to lose. They aren't really competing. Thats why its not a sport.
