thats weird when i upload the .tar ball that contains the skin in archive_in then i log in to my admin then i go to import skins ....it does not show

had the same problem. download your conf_global.php and open it with wordpad. look at the filepaths, one of them is pointing to the wrong place.

If you have chmodded the tar file to 0777 and the filename is correct, (it must begin with set-) then check this FAQ for another possible solution.
