| Staff applications are now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied. I will consult with the admins of the respective teams, and we'll be making our choices within the next week or so. | |

| Good morning/afternoon/evening! We at Invisionize are currently looking for two staff positions each for our Community and Design teams. Do you have experience designing or moderating a website? Do you have an interest in Invision Power Services products? If so, we need your help! There are a few rules that must be followed before applying to be a staff member. They are there so that we know we are getting the best of the best, and not just somebody who's looking for the title. Here they are: 1. You need to have been a member of the Invisionize community for at least one month. 2. If you currently operate a board, it MUST be licensed and completely legal. Also, you must not be part of any warez/illegal trading communities. If we discover that you are or your board is illegal, it is terms for immediate termination. 3. You should not be a part of another Invision-related resource site. You may, however, operate a site to sell/promote your own modifications or skins. Here are brief explanations of the positions: Community Team Community Team members primarily moderate the Invisionize Community forums. They close and delete topics and posts that do not conform to our rules, and move topics to the proper forums. They also warn or punish members who violate the rules, as necessary. Community Team members are also expected to provide assistance to members in the General Support forums (i.e. the ones not specifically made for programming or design). Community Team members promote discussion throughout the Invisionize Community Forums. Your job, if you choose to apply for it, will be to make sure the forum is running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Design Team Design Team members are primarily responsible for accepting skin and graphics submissions to our database. You should have a good knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS. You should be prepared to make sure submissions conform to our submission rules. You should also have a good idea of what skins are in our database, so that you may be ready to recognize when an unauthorized copy has been submitted. Design Team members also moderate Design-related forum on the Invisionize Community Forums. Team members are also expected to take some part in the operating of the site itself, designing pages on the site when necessary. Your job, if you choose to apply for it, will be to make sure design-related functions of the site run smoothly. Please understand that working at Invisionize requires a significant amount of time, and you must be ready to spend a significant amount of time on the site. We do not take unexcused inactivity lightly. Also, while we promote a rather laid back style on the site, team members should know when to act professionally, and when they can be more laid back. If you've read this and understand the terms, please send me a personal message with the following information: QUOTE Name Email Address Country of Origin Age If applying for the Design Team, please provide some examples of skin and/or graphic work you have done for IPB. If applying for the Community Team, please provide any sites, if possible, where you have done or are doing moderation work. Please be sure to provide links to these sites, and explain what type of work you have done (or are doing) for them. Please list other, non-IPB, sites that you currently work for, if applicable, and provide a brief explanation of what you are doing for them. For Design Team applicants, list all sites you work for. For Community Team applicants, list only sites where your primary duties do not involve moderation. Please submit a brief explanation (at least a paragraph) of why you would like to become a member of the Invisionize staff. Any other questions or comments you may have. IMPORTANT I cannot stress enough that we will not accept anyone who is clearly looking for a title. By joining the team, you recognize that there will be work to do, and that your position will not be used to abuse members or circumvent our rules (as they also apply to staff members). Also, do not send in an application for an admin position. We do not take application for these positions. The application session will end at 12am on Sunday, July 8th, after which time I will work with the admins of the Design and Community teams to pick which people will be accepted to the team. Thanks! |
