| I like both the old skin and this one. Too bad the official IPB skinner keeps being way off for the official skinning, in my opinion. For 3.0 blog looks terrible and the main forum look itself isn't nearly as crisp as the original 2.x one. And the way they have it set up where both rows and columns alternate classes... that looks good at first, but then it gets annoying and it's set up in such a way that it would be complicated changing the skinning of my apps to look closer to the old way. The shade of blue used on this site is very similar to the shade I thought would look good on mine, but I never got around to having everything look that way. I like this shade of blue. Good luck when you upgrade the site to 3.0 though as their crisscrossing complicates everything when trying to go back and have it look similar to this. Sigh. IPS kept saying the reason blog and gallery weren't ready as early as board (as far as IPB 3 capable betas) was due to skinning and yet when they did start releasing those betas it looks like they didn't change anything about the skinning at all compared to 2.x other than making blog look worse.  |
