give points to topic starter for each reply to their topic

Hi,

i have the following suggestion for a mod. I think that a good way to encourage people to post is by awarding them points per topic and reply but also this would be more effective if the topic starter gets additional points per reply to their topic so this would motivate them to create better and more interesting topics in order to get more points. Also, if we can automatically award a jackpot of points to the topic with most replies in a certain basis of time such as a week or a month, this would create a competition system that can increment the activity of your board substantially. Thats my suggestion and i hope you take it into account.

Thank you.

Small Request

I just need a small request that will add a custom field and that custom field will give each user a rating. That rating is determined by:

- number of posts / posts per day / topics started

or pretty much whatever I want the formula to be. Can this be done?

Good, Working, Supported shoutbox.

D-22 Shoutbox is nice and all, but it's not supported any more, my members claim it lags, and it's just lost its former glory.

I've been looking around, but every time I find one that might be worth getting I see a bunch of nasty reviews.

Surely there has to be SOMETHING that works well other than Dean's box.

If not, can somebody make one? I'd probably be willing to donate...
